A little updating for the Blind Eye

If you happen to be "living under rock" as Mr. Palo would say it, about what has been recently occurring at Ground Zero (the site of the 911 terrorist attack), then you will be amazed to learn that America is going back in time. Not literally but for those who have been following this issue, most of us can agree that the ideas and points raised in this debate, are not all to new to us Americans. In our history, we have already fought the battle to achieve freedom of religion. Our country has already given us the right to praise any God we want, if any. So why are we doing it all over again? After the 9/11 attacks, the Muslim community has faced a mass amount of ridicule and speculation. False connections are being made between innocent people and the attackers who planned the monstrous attack. The same country that promises that we are entitled to live in a "land of free" is also screaming at this group of people for exercising their natural born rights. Why must we travel backward and repeat the mistakes of our ancestors? If we cant learn from their shortcomings, were doomed to experience the harsh and unruly consequences such as they did. When will we learn America?
